Refund & Cancellation Policy


Effective as of June 6th, 2025

At Gorilla Freaks, our mission is to deliver authentic, life-changing Muay Thai experiences. Because our camps are limited in capacity and require advance planning, this policy is in place to protect both our guests and our operations. Please read the full terms carefully before booking your spot.

1. Payment Terms

  • Bookings may be paid in full upfront or with a 50% deposit.

  • For deposit bookings, the remaining 50% balance is due on arrival in cash (฿THB).

  • Failure to pay the balance on arrival will result in an automatic freeze of your participation in the retreat, and subsequent cancellation with no refund of the deposit if the remaining balance is not paid.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel and whether you paid in full or by deposit.

Important Notes

  • Refunds are processed within 10 business days after we receive your cancellation notice.

  • Refund amounts are net of non-recoverable payment processing fees (e.g., Stripe, bank charges).

  • The official cancellation date is based on when your email is received at operations@gorillafreaksgroup.com.

3. Cancellation Insurance

  • Guests may purchase Cancellation Insurance for THB 7,500.

  • This allows cancellation at any time before the camp start date, for any reason, with a full refund guaranteed.

  • Once the camp has begun, no refunds are issued, even with insurance.

4. Transfers & Date Changes

A. Transfer to Another Person

  • 14+ days before camp: Free transfer of your spot to a friend or family member.

  • Less than 14 days before camp: Transfer allowed with a THB 7,500 penalty.

B. Change of Dates

  • 60+ days before camp: No penalty.

  • 14–60 days before camp:

    • With Cancellation Insurance → No penalty.

    • Without Cancellation Insurance → THB 10,000 penalty.

  • Less than 14 days before camp: Date change not permitted. Booking is treated as a cancellation.

Notes

  • All changes are subject to availability.

  • Requests must specify the desired new camp date.

  • Early communication is encouraged to secure availability and minimize penalties.

  • All transfer or date-change requests must be submitted by email to operations@gorillafreaksgroup.com.

  • The request date is based on when your email is received.

5. Government-Imposed Travel Restrictions

  • If an official government restriction prohibits travel from your country of residence to Thailand after booking, you will receive a 50% refund.

  • Clients must notify us of such restrictions and provide proof, such as an official government-issued travel advisory.

  • Gorilla Freaks is not responsible for denied entry at Thai immigration, customs, or airline boarding.

6. Liability & Risk Disclaimer

By booking a Gorilla Freaks camp, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • You confirm you are medically fit to participate in high-intensity training.

  • Participation is at your own risk, and Gorilla Freaks is not liable for any injuries, damages, or disruptions before, during, or after your camp. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Training or sparring injuries

    • Motorcycle or scooter accidents

    • Food-related illness (e.g., food poisoning)

    • Infectious diseases (e.g., dengue fever, skin infections)

  • Gorilla Freaks is not responsible for:

    • Missed, delayed, or canceled flights

    • Lost or stolen personal items

    • Visa or customs issues

    • Weather disruptions or other acts of God

Recommendation: We strongly encourage purchasing both our Cancellation Insurance and comprehensive third-party travel insurance that covers medical care, flight cancellations, and personal liability.

7. How to Cancel, Transfer, or Request Credit

To submit a request, email operations@gorillafreaksgroup.com with:

  • Your full name

  • Your camp date

  • Your booking ID (if available)

  • The reason for your cancellation, transfer, or credit request

Credit Policy

  • If granted, credits may be applied to a future camp within 12 months of the original booking date.
