Liability Policy
Please read carefully before booking or attending a Gorilla Freaks Muay Thai Camp.
By booking with Gorilla Freaks, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily participating in a physically demanding training program in a foreign country and that you assume full responsibility for your health, safety, and property during your stay.
We are not liable for any injuries, accidents, losses, or unforeseen circumstances that may occur before, during, or after your participation in our program.
Training Risks & Physical Injury
Muay Thai is a full-contact combat sport that carries inherent physical risks. These may include sprains, bruises, cuts, broken bones, head trauma from sparring, dehydration or heat exhaustion from intense sessions, and long-term joint or muscle issues due to overtraining. Camp participants are responsible for knowing their own limits, training responsibly, and informing our team of any pre-existing conditions. Any medical treatment in Thailand is the participant’s responsibility. Serious injuries can lead to hospital costs ranging from $500 to $5,000 USD or more, depending on the severity. We strongly recommend that all guests secure comprehensive travel and health insurance that includes emergency medical treatment, evacuation, and repatriation.
Motorbike & Transport Accidents
Thailand has one of the highest motorbike accident rates globally. If you choose to rent or ride a motorbike, or use other forms of local transportation, you do so at your own risk. Gorilla Freaks assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or legal consequences, including collisions, improper use (e.g., riding without a helmet or license), or fines. A single crash could result in medical costs from $1,000 to over $10,000 USD, particularly if surgery or emergency evacuation is required.
Food, Hygiene & Infection Risks
While Thailand’s food culture is a highlight for many, there are known risks of foodborne illness and hygiene-related issues, especially for visitors. By joining the camp, you acknowledge the possibility of food poisoning, skin infections (like staph or ringworm), insect-borne diseases such as dengue fever, and allergic reactions. Although we partner with trusted local restaurants and gyms, we cannot guarantee your immunity to these risks. You are expected to take personal responsibility for your hygiene, protective gear use, medical care, and use of repellents or medications.
Travel Disruptions & Personal Property
Gorilla Freaks is not liable for personal property loss or theft, including gear, phones, or travel documents. We are also not responsible for missed or canceled flights, visa denials, overstays, or other immigration issues. We encourage participants to safeguard their belongings, prepare backups of important documents, and review travel and visa requirements thoroughly before arriving in Thailand.
Summary of Your Responsibility
By attending a Gorilla Freaks Muay Thai Camp, you confirm that you are physically fit to train, that you understand and accept the risks involved, and that you either have or will secure appropriate insurance coverage. Gorilla Freaks, its staff, trainers, affiliates, and partners are not to be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, financial losses, emotional or physical trauma, damages, or legal issues that may arise from your participation.
Liability Waiver
All participants must sign a Liability Waiver and Medical Declaration Form upon arrival. Refusal to do so will result in being denied participation in the camp without a refund. For any questions regarding this policy, please contact operations@gorillafreaksgroup.com.
